Thou Art A Ninny



	*I'm not dead yet!* Er... that doesn't go so well on a Dead Lat Day, does it? Oh, well. After the last comic, I decided to try to do something creative. It didn't go so well. Well, I came up with some good fragments of the story, but when I was trying to put some of the characters on paper, I had a nice little epiphany: I really do suck at drawing. This isn't my Piro-complex speaking. I realized that I actually have no concept of facial proportions. After a little chat with some of the artists, I got some advice and heavily studied some tutorials. I corrected the flaws in my style over three days. With that success, I decided to take on a challenge that scares me: hands. I've been practicing drawing hands a lot, part of this is required for the story that I want to get on paper. I've also been making a study of skeletal and muscle structure. Once I get that character onto paper, I'll post a drawing of her. Long story short, I've been working on improving my style so much that I haven't had time to draw the comic. And now mid-terms hit. I'll try to have something up for next Monday, but don't count on it. Anyway, the guy in this Dead Lat Day is named Kethen. He's a villain in a story that I've been trying to finish for a long time. I wanted to have a reflection of something burning in his eyes, but it didn't work, so I dropped the idea. I really like the way his eyes came out, though. --Lat, February 22nd, 2004
