 | | | | | | | Consult my rant for an explanation. This seriously belongs in a rant column. The reason for the 90% is that I don't remember the exact phrases, because we had to move a lot of stuff really fast. I'm pretty sure it was something along the lines of this. | | | | |
 | | | | | | | The Flood.
Last week, I mentioned some bad news. At the time, I figured it would be best to help clean up the mess and then yell about it. Really, I got the order backwards. My apartment partially flooded. Nothing too bad. Just enough to soak up throught the carpet to the point where it would splash if you stepped on it, but you couldn't see the water. Also, it was only in my roommates' room. The rest of the apartment was fine. The only thing that got damaged was a pile of magazines, which have dried out nicely, and one of Jeremy's sketchbooks, which didn't dry out nicely. It's a real shame, because the sketchbook was for school and he had 100 paged done. Anyway, the cause of the flooding was a crack in the foundation wall and a record-breaking downpour. The foundation wall should be repaird by tomorrow and the carpet is already dried and cleaned. Hopefully, we can move the beds back into that room soon.
On a lighter note, I set a personal record and lugged 96 cans of soda home. All that strength training is finally paying off.
